The One Where I Feel Like I Have Talent

So this past week I seem to have caught a bug.

A crafting bug! {Ha! Gotcha!}

I was looking around on Pinterest {join it} and saw a couple cute necklace projects that I just HAD to try. Because they are super-duper cute.

So I made this necklace:

 {Sadly, not my ACTUAL necklace...I was too lazy to take my own pic...but it looks EXACTLY the same I PROMISE.}

 Total cost? $5.

And then I made this one:

Cost of this piece? $4.

I think I'm on a lace kick.

Just look at this dress.

Anyway. Moving on. To something completed unrelated. To my next subject.

Chris and I went on a drive up into the mountains today, and can I say, it is absolutely beautiful up there.  We ended up at Duck Creek Lake, a small pond that is surrounded on all sides by pines and aspens.

I love it up there.

It reminds me just how wonderful God's creations are.

 See the squirrel?

{aw}
Don't judge too harshly on the pictures here. I don't have a tripod. That means the camera was balanced on rocks, trees, and other various small objects to  get it pointed in the right direction.

I love nature.
I love Chris.
I love crafts.
That's all you need to take away from this post.

Love Notes & Mishmash

Am I bored?

Why yes, thanks, I am.
{save me}

And I think I'll mishmash blog a little.
{mishmash blog: to blog without a single train of continuing thought; to tangent randomly}

We went to a party the other night, and it was a pretty good party. There was just one thing wrong with it: nobody really wanted to talk to us. And why would anybody NOT want to talk to the most awesome, laid-back, coolest couple on earth? Because they were are single. And Chris and I realized something...that there is a thing called 'single-people blinders.' It's totally a thing. Single people are totally focused on being single, and don't have a whole lot of time to spend meeting other people who aren't single. They're focused on other single people with whom they can possibly hook up with to then bring both of them out of their mutual single-ness. I think I'm overusing the word 'single.' So we left that party, made an 11 o'clock run to WalMart, and made smoothies.

And drank them together.
{Awww...lots of little hearts here.}

Culture Kitchen

Today I was just putting off work, doing other useful things like feeding my cats tuna fish....scrounging in the bottom of my candy drawer {yes, I have a candy drawer} for chocolate...staring into space.....and browsing Pinterest. And while I was browsing Pinterest I found this:

Its called Culture Kitchen.

These two ladies thought it would be a great idea to get women from all around the world, who have been doing their own ethnic cooking for years to get together and share their knowledge.

brilliant.

Check out their site at culturekitchensf.com
